Language and the Power of Words
The spoken word lasts forever. Long after we recall what we said, the energy of what we have said has taken root and forms a reality that finds its lodging in emotional, spiritual, intellectual and material forms.
Have you ever regretted saying something? Did you witness and understand the effects and outcome of your use of words and language?
Have you felt remorse at harsh words or exhilaration or peace from inspiring words?
Words are the gestures of emotional and spiritual power, for good or ill.
Language is the construction and expression of such forces, and can create or destroy well-being, liberty and the individual’s understanding of freedom. Long after an action has come and gone, fuelled by words, the influence of language upon how are everyday minds function is powerfully influenced.
Words are small actions in a verbal form, formed by impulses of our everyday mind and higher consciousness, taking on the nature of thoughts(which too are a form of action) words implode into the material world through our brains, reactions and emotional interpretation. Even dry intellectual interpretation is a form of emotionality.
Words finds their mark in our every day consciousness and like a seed will grow .
How can we be aware of the power of words and the influence of language? By first understanding how our feelings and thoughts mingle and taken on form and expressed by the way we speak. What do we have to say?
Understanding what it is that we want to communicate shows us that we all have a responsibility to be kind to ourselves and others , and we can start by the use of words and language. In a world of noise there are few consciously spoken words, and when you hear them, they sound like gentle chimes infiltrating all the cacophony and bedlam that is regarded as communication.
Know what your heart wants to say. Hear what your spirit is trying to tell you. Let their words mix together so that you can speak from your humanity and reduce the emotional pollution created by uncaring language. This process that I am discussing also applies to the written word. In a time when our planet is in a global identity crisis let us , each and all of us, offer our wisdom and care through language and words by not being afraid of speaking from our hearts rather than from that which causes us fear.
The world is running out of emotional space, by the loving use of language, and the insight use of your inherent wisdom spend some time speaking the language of healing to those that you know, to strangers, to those that annoy you, or have harmed you. Speak, write and think in a new way, that creates freedom for others.
