Christopher Hansard:[Some Say]
Some say that Nelson Mandela
is a terrorist turned Statesman and Hero,
Others say that
the Dalai Lama is a Hero turned Terrorist
it all depends upon your point of view
and your belief in circumstance
and the political agenda created by
the forces of Existence and the urge to survive
Some say that Barrack Obama is a muslim
and that all politicians are liars and war mongers
We have lived in the time of the appeased middle class
a false state, an invention of nineteenth century
politics that took full root in the last century
but hungry capitalism like hungry communism
will not last the morning, in the full day of history
everyone is an expert today
because they can throw their opinions
into a global whirlpool of information
we live in a time when opinion is regarded as truth
and that certainty is a result of economy and wealth
we need to not believe the things our fear holds us too
in the quiet places of the world
wisdom is moving
stirring
waking up
stop
feel it
tune into
the place where true communication
begins and stops
some say that all muslims are warmongers
some say that all christians are warmongers
some say that all jews are warmongers
words are the warmongers
when the communication
is violent
long before the actions start
the first bullet is fired by a word
well before the trigger is ever pulled
some say that love is for dreamers
but dreamers teach the world to dream
and so to imagine and from that
comes the actions of change
and transformation
any word of violence
creates misery
it will hang around you
like a perfume made from the rotting corpses
of a war zone, an earthquake
or the lingering cancers of gossip
stop, call the stillness within
awaken the love
ask for forgiveness
give thanks and gratitude
and the world
becomes a larger place
and every possibility
a choice for action and
ready to become an event

Christopher Hansard:[The Gifts of Dawn and Dusk]
Strong convictions often lead to bad measures
and bad outcomes
if you want to plan a revolution do it in a crowded place
no one will listen to your secrets
if you want to change your heart
transform your being
many will seek to stop you
when one person changes
the light of change is cast upon others
driving out the shadows
the anger of today
is the sadness and shame of yesterday
when change wakes deep within you
be prepared for resistance
when others seek to harm you
act from integrity
then the time will come
when you will have the last word
but if you act from a state of graciousness
there is no need to have the last word
for your detractors will harm themselves
bring love to them
by not acting as they would act
light incense for peace and parity
and learn the art of communication
that non violiently enriches your soul
in the sacred times
of dawn and dusk
see the unspoken way
inscribe itself in the motes of dust and the whirling light
letters form and fade as with its speech
whispering the sacred, listening to the sublime
awakening the profane and the trapped
letters of eternity in the form of things
such are the gifts of dawn and dusk

Christopher Hansard:[ Language]
language is how we make our thoughts communicated
language is often limited to words
but what of belief, faith and hope
of anger, rage and grief
language is the energy
by which we
evolve
the material world
is the language of the psyche
so it can evolve
to eventually cast of its carapace
and move into
consciousness
language is the illusion of the psyche
and the bridge by which you can
cross the chasm of suffering

Christopher Hansard:[Eternal Energy]
A gesture and a word, a tear or a bird flying
in some distant sky,
a memory or a hope
a broken heart or a plume of smoke from a forest fire
there is the link of thought and the thinker
the song and the singer
the given and the giver
the end and the ender
the chance to be and the chance to learn to be
all connected
in a sudden gentle tap
of light and intent
breath in and out
and you will see
how you are
the roadmap of eternal energy

Christopher Hansard:[Loving Yourself]
Loving yourself is important, whether or not you are in a love relationship with someone else.
Loving yourself is not selfish; rather, it is not loving yourself that is selfish.
Self-love is necessary for a balanced and positive life and is crucial if you wish to undertake spiritual exploration.
It is a courageous declaration of the value and meaning of your life.
How do you experience self-love?
It is simpler than you think, for no matter how tough and unloving you have been toward yourself,
you have a deeper consciousness that continually experiences self-love.
All you need to do is to bring this into your upper consciousness.
When you do this, you will discover that it is your birthright and the spark of your humanity.
Loving yourself is the starting point and the very foundation of all human existence.
