there is always

rejuvenation

When you are caught up in rush

and in overwhelm

who is it that reacts to these?

which you is angry?

which you feels pain?

which you feels hopeless ?

which you wants to change and find a better life?

which you?

There are times when doubt exceeds your clarity

times when darkness seems greater than light

fear would wish you to see things that way

fear is the ultimate consumer

hell a shopping mall of unreal choices

of liberty dressed up as spam

breathe in the electricity

that dwells within you

and life

lights up all your dark places

You can look forward

You ca look backwards

You can look at the moment

but what do you see?

You can look inward

You can look outward

you can look

what do you see?

Backwards, forwards

now, past,present

there comes a time

when looking turns to seeing

seeing to vision

vision to receiving

On the wind

you can hear

the voices of your ancestors

if you listen

what is the wind

but the kinetic function of their breath?

The feathers of the wing must be burnt

in order to renew and grow into a great aid to flying

the eagle that is afraid of heights will fall

and then the earth will teach that eagle to soar

the broken hearted will learn the way of healing the broken heart

The path to any form of happiness that is regarded with value

is that path which is held with sacredness and respect

sacredness is individual to each of us,

what we regard as sacred is unique to us and so it is sacred

respect is individual to each of us,

what we regard as respect is unique to us and so it is worthy of respect

sacredness and respect need no endorsement from any other person or institution

they are self-evident and everlasting,

they exist as a state of consciousness and within the laws of matter

Prayer is the undercurrent

underneath

the undercurrent of life

there is skillful prayer

and unskilful prayer

all forms of prayer

are answered

but are not acepted or understood

prayer dwells within each of us

profound

original

awake

and

renewing

the fibres of the soul

and the evolving psyche

mental energy

separates

the myriad worlds

that sit

within

our thoughts

all heavens and all hells

fall away

when

underlying

reason

is embraced

and then

given up
