applause

adulation

hopes of a nation

the tide came in

a cresting wave

now is pulling back to the far sea

a tsunami soon to come

a string of held breaths

a sigh

the full moon casts its light

people gravitate to the densest form of matter

it is easier to be drawn to that

than to break free

in search of the light of individuality

to go beyond the tribe

and seek

it is a form of advertising

that portays an opinion

just as movies that portray fiction as fact

so history

is a metaphor

from which to learn from

but not to believe in

otherwise it becomes both

religion and dogma

and having been heard

was made into form

and from form

came function and structure

of all that

then, and now, when, who and how

are mirages of this fleeting world

us and them, echoes of subtle rumours

ends up in inner powerlesness
