Christopher Hansard: [ Fanfare]
applause
adulation
hopes of a nation
the tide came in
a cresting wave
now is pulling back to the far sea
a tsunami soon to come
a string of held breaths
a sigh
the full moon casts its light
on the event

Christopher Hansard:[ People]
people gravitate to the densest form of matter
it is easier to be drawn to that
than to break free
in search of the light of individuality
to go beyond the tribe
and seek
the one

Christopher Hansard:[ history]
History is not made
it is fabricated
it is a form of advertising
that portays an opinion
just as movies that portray fiction as fact
so history
is a metaphor
from which to learn from
but not to believe in
otherwise it becomes both
religion and dogma

Christopher Hansard:[ the word]
the
word
which was
the first word
was not uttered
but heard
and having been heard
was made into form
and from form
came function and structure
of all that
IS
then, and now, when, who and how
are mirages of this fleeting world
us and them, echoes of subtle rumours
there is only
IS
the word
which was
the first word
was not uttered
but
heard

Christopher Hansard:[ interlude]
the world made by mankind
is a mere interlude
between time and space
shimmering
and gone
like smoke
on the wind

Christopher Hansard:[ Hubris]
hubris makes the heart grow weaker
though for many its the fertilizer in which
weeds will grow

Christopher Hansard:[Space]
take the language
that dwells
in the unbroken dialogue
of time
and see
the
meem(ories)
like mist and vapour
swirling
what is it that you see?
the world,
a peeled spiral
caught in
an anti-clockwise turn
etches out
the sounds of life
reverberating
in the meandering
of space

Christopher Hansard:[ Democracy]
hitler danced with old teutonic wolves
ice hounds of the Vril
trapped by vague imagining of immortality
he sort to replace democracy with self rule
of the self
ego strength and will
democracy though,like capitalism
is a age old viral belief
of all humanity
material cornerstones
for the inner evolution of the species
if you want to change the world
first change your Self
then the world will follow
there are two ways
one in a resplendent blaze of incandescent psychic force
or quietly in the dark blue shadows
where history is but a whisper

Chistopher Hansard:[ Fruition]
The search for meaning
has no meaning in itself
the search for power
ends up in inner powerlesness
the search for pleasure
results in an
absence of pleasure
the search for love
does not bring love
the search for order
animates chaos
the search for being
renews the world
creates the spark of nature
and brings
life
into fruition

Christopher Hansard:[ a pause]
take
a
pause
whether it be
a moment,an hour or a day
or a year,
take a pause
to look not where you are going
or where you have been
but
where
you
are
