Christopher Hansard:[ earth in retreat]
earth in retreat
from the appetite
we have
thinking we can save the planet
consumes the resources of the soul
that links us all
when we loudly proclaim that we have a green new world
the earth will switch off
for a few hundred millienia
while
humanity and all else
is eroded
the Earth has its own path
and we blindly assume that we know it
you can only know the path of the earth
if you are in communication
with the elemental intelligences
that inform it’s sense of growth

Christopher Hansard:[ Softly]
softly falls the passage of time
upon those who have tasted glory for but a moment
softly time erodes the vision
of what they were
forming them
into
amorphous
sets of dreams
time is the enemy of those who wish to live forever
it is both the
mother of gravity
and identity
in the world of
brief encounters
with
the face of
meaning

Christopher Hansard:[ observation]
there is no panic
when you observe
the situation
and ask
what your inner self would do
not the personality of the every day world
and the every day mind

Christopher Hansard[ In ancient times]
In ancient times
the footsteps fell more loudly
than they do today
in ancient times one word was enough to turn the earth
now many words are draining the turning away
in ancient times
one breath was enough for breath to be
one heart beat lasted longer than a day
moonlight was the fabric of technology
in ancient times
everything was communicated
via the sea
every drop of water
held the messages sent
and received
in ancient times
the brevity of all Life
was understood
now forgotten in its truth
but known as a fearful thing
in ancient times
everyone knew how to sing

Quietly,very quietly
quietly, very quietly
seeking
and planning
a wolverine
is caught
not by stealth
or guile
but by waiting
a while for the words
to come tumbling from its mouth

Christopher Hansard:[ mindful]
becoming mindful
is not the same
as being
observant
mindfulness
is a natural place the dwells within
and without
becoming mindul is the journey to that place

Christopher Hansard[ Breath]
Breath,
Breathe
Breath,
Breathe
silent introspection
contemplation
eloquent communication
with the emerging selves
of the world
breath
breath
the power to believe
the courage to breathe
take a deep breath
plunge in
dive into the world
breathe,
breath
breath,
breath

Christopher Hansard:[ Clarion]
Who heard the Clarion?
its brazen wrench across the line of human experience
stripped bare the essence of the hour
who saw it?
people missed the poignacy
and got an evangelist
with a list of multiple choice questions and answers
the Clarion was answered though
in a small wooden house by a lake in the far North
born the day the President was sworn in
watch out
beware
the infant
