Christopher Hansard:[where sunlight falls upon winter's shadow]
where sunlight falls upon winter’s shadow
there life sings a triumphant song
of eternity and rejoices
in the seasons
for although Spring may come but once a year
it is always in your heart
and although Summer may blaze bright
it’s heat is always in your bones,
and as the chill of Autumn’s winds
may blow the leaves out of sight
know that Autumn’s wisdom is one of natural change
and that all things change as they must
and Winter, is the resting point
where all the seasons are recharged
and life is made anew in the silence in the heart
of snow fall and darkened days
for where sunlight falls
so do our prayers
for every season is a prayer
and as such a form of life
sacred and part of all
