Christopher Hansard:[ the question]
people seek
the answer
without
knowing
the question
people ask the question
without the capacity to listen
humankind is addicted to language
words are the greatest drug
in order to listen
to hear
to ask and to receive
let the addiction to words within you
fall away
and then you will know
both the question and the answer

Christopher Hansard:[ surrender]
Can you
surrender
to the greater
Self
within
andĀ doing so
become the
Self
you were meant
to be
and are
regardless of circumstanceĀ or
habituality

Christopher Hansard:[ slow]
slowly
gets you where you need to be
far more quickly
than the haste engendered by unconscious speed

Christopher Hansard:[ each day]
each day
holds
the key
to the past
and each day
is a window
into the
presence
within you

Christopher Hansard:[ thinking]
what are you thinking
behind the daily habits and routines
that make your life
to be what you think it is?
What are you thinking?
Do you know?

Christopher Hansard:[ the longest day]
when will come
that day
the longest day?
when time will seem stretched
and the horizon will be
under your feet
when that day comes
the earth will tilt

Christopher Hansard:[ one life]
one life
is to be found in the moment
each of us
has only one life,
but it is
moment by moment
moments are themselves illusions
as is ‘now’
for ‘now’ is past before you have thought it
so each moment is one life…
how many billions of lives have you lived
since your conception?
gather them together as beads upon a string
and see each one for what it was
then
Life reveals to you
free of moments, ‘now’ and here and there,
when, was,then, you,me, they,us
and the past passes away as the dust of time
as Life welcomes you as one of its own

Christopher Hansard:[ peace, one day?]
people
clamour
for peace one day
for peace now
of course it is natural to want to be
free of strife,conflict and suffering
but everything starts from the self
and the patterns empowered
to take on a life and identity
of their own
peace,one day
when each of us
has found peace within
and knows the origins of our own conflicts
part of which is the human experience

Christopher Hansard:[ holding]
Holding on
to habits
memories
and beliefs
that maybe outdated
cause only suffering
and attachment to anxiety
