Christopher Hansard:[ connections]

connections

what and who

are you

connected to?

by knowing this

you will decrease

your levels of unhappiness

and increase your emotional well-being

and enhance your spirituality-

what ever you conceive that to be

you can be connected

to thoughts, past,present and future

to people and events

imagined occurences

and rememberings

past,present and future

who and what

are you

connected to?

Christopher Hansard:[ stillness]

If you want to know how to be still

first drop all enquiries

give up the search for meaning

let go of the clamour within and without

establish a life that portrays who you truly are

then let it be

and stillness

emerges

from within the greater inner knowing

that dwells with you

Christopher Hansard:[ a handful of sand]

throw

a

handful of sand into the wind

watch how it moves and falls

there is your life

there is all life

it’s the nature of things

Christopher Hansard:[ the nature of your words]

the words you speak

are the seeds of your actions

whether they be thoughts or deeds

the nature of your words

determine the nature of your world

if you wish to rapidly free yourself from unhappiness or suffering

be aware of the nature of your words,

the how and why of why and how  you speak them

and if they are

a creation of unhappy and self-limiting thoughts

the world, the earth is but the nature of our words

Christopher Hansard:[ the path]

there is only one path

and that is the path

that you walk

whether it be knowingly or not

you are on your way

to know

who you truly are

alll your answers are contained in your first step

can you remember

the very first step you took

when within you

you had a knowingness that life was up to you

if you have had then

that was your first illumination

which can not be cast away

no matter how you may walk the path

i have walked the paths

have heard pathmakers tell their stories

i follow a different path

the unmade path

you can not see in front of your next step

it is there for each of us

alive, twitching

Christopher Hansard:[ the Fisherman]

the fisherman casts his line

hook descending into another world

where life is snared, whole worlds

are dragged towards the light

the fisherman casts his line

and a life is made or ends

cast into drops of becoming

and endless ends

watch and see how the line is cast

making no shadow across the water

that is your mind

like darkened glass from a smoky life

for each of us are but a vapour in the light

some brief plume

the line is cast

reeling in

no hurry or need

in its own time

the hook will bite

the fisherman casts his line into another world

and draws us all towards the light

the fishing line entwines itself

through every age and day, through ideas, beliefs and prejudice

never snags, for it reels itself along the hooped line

to return to a still collected reel

waiting for the next cast

as time washes in and out
