Who am I? why am I? when, was and if, all of these are fabrics by which we dress the inner self. All our life experience we use to define or outline this self that we assume that dwells within the core of our being. But what if there is no inner self in the way in which we assume but a rag tag coillection of impulses that we have placed together, thinking that these are ‘us’. The impulses of the everyday mind, that inner function that can interpret our way through daily life, address the big questions and become trapped in trivia, that which can create great art and science, but can mistreat and harm our fellow human beings.

We are the products of our everyday mind, it is the creator of religion, politics, the best and the worst of us, yet although it can do amazing things, it is just a fabric that really is made of fused impressions and stitched to the past, its a smokescreen, a dream , a stage direction.

It is not who we are, and fades away when we die. Yet underneath this, lies the potential of who we are, the intrinsic materials for the experience of the inner self, which can not be made, but realised through an act of self-recognition.

The seeds of personal and social change are found in the roughest times, the most barren soil, as society becomes squeezed by cyclical financial collapse due to greed, laxity and short term thinking, it becomes out of step with the natural cycles of the planet-when this happens the man made structures of the world-whether they be ideas, organisations or structures collapse, in order that what is made by man finds balance with nature. kindness is the most radival act there is,

for it is an act of conscious choice

and selfless thought

kindness changes the world far more than a thousand revolutions

and brings humility and humanity into all our lives

it is very possible the world financial situation is going to worsen to the point, that a lot social infrastructures that we all take for granted could be seriously weakened, for in difficult times difficult situations often develop, yet all of us have the ability to change the outcome by ensuring our communities are able to look after themselves as best they can

In challenging times

create the ability to be adaptable

consider seriously what is important in your life

what and who you need and how you can secure these to your mutual advantage

in challenging times when the money supply withers

and the value of it decreases, where debt is transacted freely until its too late

focus on building a supportive infrastructure than can allow you to eat, work and live

freely, to think freely and to make sure that you can keep it

but yet also know that in challenging times

by intelligent sharing, a greater wealth is created

amongst those like yourself

look inwards

for there is solitude within the crush

of noisy thoughts, emotions and unresolved imaginings

whatever pain that you know

look beneath it

for there is solitude

for what is solitude?

it is the communication of all your doubts with your inner love

your wisdom with your breath

your worries fears and anguish soothed

by listening to your inner voice

which in solitude

speaks
