Christopher Hansard:[ challenging times]

In challenging times

create the ability to be adaptable

consider seriously what is important in your life

what and who you need and how you can secure these to your mutual advantage

in challenging times when the money supply withers

and the value of it decreases, where debt is transacted freely until its too late

focus on building a supportive infrastructure than can allow you to eat, work and live

freely, to think freely and to make sure that you can keep it

but yet also know that in challenging times

by intelligent sharing, a greater wealth is created

amongst those like yourself

Christopher Hansard:[ in solitude]

when the world around seems too much

look inwards

slightly

for there is solitude within the crush

of noisy thoughts, emotions and unresolved imaginings

whatever pain that you know

look beneath it

for there is solitude

for what is solitude?

it is the communication of all your doubts with your inner love

your wisdom with your breath

your worries fears and anguish soothed

by listening to your inner voice

which in solitude

speaks

Christopher Hansard:[ As Your Life Changes]

As your life changes, day by day, hour by hour, month by year, what do you notice or see in the experiences that make your life? are there shadows of the past feeling as it they were having hold of you right now? Or are you thinking of the future, a better place to be than where you are now? Look and breathe in the patterns of your life, how have the moments being coloured by your relationship to the life experiences thast you have had? Are you part of a community, jammed in a crowd, on an emotionally powered desert island? As your life changes, where will you be?

Christopher Hansard: [ there is only one word]

there is

only

one word

that can express all that you can be

regardless of where you have come from and imagine that you are going to be

and that is:

love

Christopher Hansard:[ Presence in all things]

no  matter

where you are

no matter where you think you are

no matter what you believe yourself to believe

in matter

in thought

which is matter

there is

presence

in

all things

the ever knowing

You

Christopher Hansard:[ gathering]

the old ways are

gathering

they take their time

waiting

history

or mankind’s meanderings

are nothing to them

the old ways are squeezing out

between the spaces

that dwell between thoughts, reactions, impulses

all in the natural process of things

Christopher Hansard:[ sound]

its all around you

its inside you

it hovers in between thought

in that gap between the fleeting now

the definitive past

it hangs

sound

holds

connections

to the material

nature of things

Christopher Hansard:[ the changes in the shadows]

the changes

in the shadows

take their time to make their presence felt

not good or bad

but as things are

the forces of how nature finds it course

to redress imbalance

and find a common good

Christopher Hansard:[ the question]

there is

a question

that dwells

deep in

all things

and when it is asked

the answer

if listened to

changes your life

forever

Christopher Hansard:[ and so it is]

Did Turgenev ever waltz with butterflies?

or Picasso embrace the shrew?

Did Tolstoy walk with tigers

or Lord Byron dance with wolves?

what of badgers talking with Socrates

or Plato brush the hair of a wild dog?

such things may be possible

and so it is

when Napoleon seduced the first republic

and put it in his shoe and spread his muck across the land

maybe he was seeking a furrow of his ransacked  birth land?

when  Ghandi was happy to slander the West

and Spencer Tracy ripped off his vest

and Raphael would not speak of light

in case Bernini would steal it and put it into flight in marble

and issac newton would discover the sweat of time

and gravity would become a moral paradigm

and Pindar’s verses would become a nursery rhyme

and Adam Smith’s the wealth of nations

the reasons for democracy

you will a rhyme..

‘and so it is’

and, so it ‘is’

for time and space are but the tools of light

and all the colours of thought

and strife

can be found in the lapping shore

where mud wading birds with slender bills

tilt the balance of the world’s trading floors

stop to consider

if Benjamin Franklin ever rolled with whores

while dreaming of an independent shore

or Euclid in his sad refrain

wondered if there was consciousness

in pain

but in the wild shores of

the dreaming coasts

where salmon ran on the hands of ghosts

did the unknown knowers of the ancient times

ever dream of yen, pounds and dimes?

and so it is
