Christopher Hansard:[ in solitude]
when the world around seems too much
look inwards
slightly
for there is solitude within the crush
of noisy thoughts, emotions and unresolved imaginings
whatever pain that you know
look beneath it
for there is solitude
for what is solitude?
it is the communication of all your doubts with your inner love
your wisdom with your breath
your worries fears and anguish soothed
by listening to your inner voice
which in solitude
speaks

Christopher Hansard: [ The Prayer Cycle]
There dwells within your life and every life, the prayer cycle. It is that process of consciousness that occupies everything we are, do and feel, hate, love and are bored with.
Even without us knowing it, the prayer cycle continues, the prayer cycle is wordless has no sound, does not praise any god or humankind, but actualises itself through the experiences that make us who we are and gives the gift of dissatisfaction and the desire for knowing. If you stop for a time, you can feel the prayer cycle going on within you and all living beings, some slower, some faster, some louder some so quiet as you think nothing is there, but the prayer cycle is everywhere and everything.

Christopher Hansard: [ there is only one word]
there is
only
one word
that can express all that you can be
regardless of where you have come from and imagine that you are going to be
and that is:
love

Christopher Hansard:[ the path to your Self]
there is a
path to your
Self
it is not straight
but winding
for it occupies
acts of randomness
and a myriad of thoughts
but if you look
gently but constantly
you can see the path
its edges covered by the
overgrowth of life
and then once you know it is there
it clears and shows you the way

Christopher Hansard:[ the nature of nature]
the nature of nature
is to express itself
as information
fragments spliced by time,
cooked by space
offered up for its own delight
the nature of nature
is to be

Christopher Hansard:[ Presence in all things]
no matter
where you are
no matter where you think you are
no matter what you believe yourself to believe
in matter
in thought
which is matter
there is
presence
in
all things
the ever knowing
You

Christopher Hansard:[ the impulse]
So comes
the impulse
from the deep
before the ancient times
to make each thing
into form
and by having form so display its nature
from the deep
in the essence of
the
deep
came
the
impulse
making and remaking
each event for itself
in this time of year
pause to see
through the stories and the myths
the consumerism and the gloss
into the deep
there all those that came and come
come to light the way
are but parts of the same fragrance
unknown, known, not known, yet to be known
those few who ever dwell
in the deep
in the impulse
stop,
pause,
breathe
you can smell the deep
taste it, touch it,
hear it
see it, if you want too
the deep
the impulse
the ever

Christopher Hansard:[ seeking truth and meaning]
So you want to seek for truth
and meaning-for what life is all about?
sit, be still and hear meaning start to shout
first distant it will seem
the voices and the words
but in time they will be calling
singing
divine words
that can inflame your heart with love and balance
simple and serene
there dwells the making and the unmaking
of truth and meaning
so give your self
the chance to be
be,
be
happy with your own company
and then seeking
for truth and meaning
becomes a receiving
and a blessing
and the mind’s dividing
of truth and meaning
will cease

Christopher Hansard:[ time,space, place]
where are you now?
where do you sit
on the seat or in your thoughts?
are you mind and body
or thought and the thinker
in time, in space, and in the place you are now
all of these are actively seeking you
you who are timeless
you who are beyond space yet made it
you who need no one place
but are in all places
